This might sound irritatingly obvious, but wood is a natural product. It can change shape according to ambient conditions. You should never immerse the bowls in water. Just wash with soapy water and dry immediately. Occasional re-oiling is advised with a food safe product like boiled linseed, olive or walnut oil.
